10U Girls and Boys Fall Core Program Info (Non Coed)

The 10U Girls and Boys program was developed to continue player development in a fun yet competitive environment.

As of 6/30/2017, 10U is a combined division of 9U and 10U players. Depending on the number of players that sign up, we may separate the two divisions.

Season start and end datesThe season starts on Sept. 9th, 2017 and usually ends the week before Thanksgiving.

Time CommitmentPractices:
There are two weekday practices for a max of 1 1/2 hours per practice.
Duration of Game:
Four 12.5-minute periods. Halftime break of 5 -10 minutes. No other changes from play as specified in FIFA Laws of the Game Printed for the American Youth Soccer Organization.Games : TBA  ( As of 6/30/2017., All games will be played on Saturday and there maybe few Sunday games)
StandingsStandings are kept for Post Season play. Only the first place team in Region 111 will continue on for Area Play. Those games are usually played in early December.
Player EquipmentEach player will be given a uniform which consists of a jersey, shorts and socks. The player must provide soccer cleats, shin guards and a size 4 ball.
 
note: every player must wear shin-guards or they can not participate in any practices or games. Also, socks must be worn over the shin-guards.
Coach Certification Requirements
  1. AYSO Volunteer Form (must be updated annually) 
  2. Safe Haven Certified
  3. CDC Concussion Awareness ( must be updated annually)
  4. 10U Coach Certified
Note: The above certifications are needed weather you are the Head Coach or Assistant Coach
 All other Volunteers
  1.  AYSO Volunteer Form (must be updated annually)
  2. Safe Haven Certified (one time online class, unless AYSO updates it and mandates that we take the new course)
note: this includes Team Parent and any other volunteer activity you may volunteer for.
The Players:
  • Numbers: Seven per team on the field; one of which is a goalkeeper. Ten maximum on roster.
  • Substitutions: Between periods, at halftime and for injuries.
  • Playing Time: Minimum of three periods per game and no player should play four periods until everyone has played three.
  • Teams: Separate girls and boys teams.

Safety
  • No ear rings can be worn during practices and games.
  • No bracelets or wrist bands can be worn during practices and games (Except Medical Bracelets can be worn).
Dog PolicyDogs are not allowed at any sports fields in the City of San Clemente.
